RESISTANCE TO OCCUPATION

April 21, 2016 at 10.00, presentation of the first in Ukraine Manual of nonviolent struggle against the occupation (Crimea and Donbas).

Speakers: Pavlo Zhovnirenko, Chairman of the Center for Strategic Studies; Emine Dzheppar, First Deputy Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine; Eskender Bariev, member of Mejlis.

The struggle for the liberation of the occupied territories is associated in the statements of politicians, media reports and minds of ordinary people mainly with three directions: diplomatic, military and economic. Meanwhile world and Ukrainian practice has a wide range of examples of successful non-violent struggle of citizens against the occupation.

NGO “Center for Strategic Studies”, for the first time in Ukraine, developed a guide to practice of non-violent resistance for the population of territories which are temporarily occupied by Russia.
